Found to be a HOAX: Radiation Alert for Asian Countries

This has been observed that people are sending and forwarding messages or Mobile SMS such as :

BBC FLASHNEWS: Japan government confirms radiation leak at Fukushima nuclear plants. Asia countries should take necessary precautions. If rain comes, remain indoors first 24hrs. Close doors & windows. Swab neclskin with betadine where thyroid area is, radiation hits thyroid first. Take extra precautions. Radiation may hit Phil at starting 4pm today. Pls send to your loved ones.

But it has been claimed as HOAX. Please be informed that BBC already have announced in their Live update that

1033: Some readers have been emailing the BBC about an "urgent" news flash purportedly from the BBC advising people in "Asian countries" to take certain steps in light of the radiation leak at the Fukushima plant in Japan, particularly if it is raining. Please be advised this is fraudulent and this advice has NOT been issued by the BBC.

Ok.. Though my day was not that much interesting to me.. but suddenly at this evening i found it really interesting now..

I just have received our Bangla New year greetings from one of my colleague and she sent this greeting embedding few photos on Pohela Boishakh and activities.

Interesting part was she sent one of my photo of Ilish Panta embedded too and when i asked her being curious she said that she collected it from Wikipedia :P

Earthquake shook Dhaka at night 12:50AM - 27th July 2008

Suddenly tonight i felt like my bed was shaking. Then i recalled that i did flooring for my backpain and i was not on my bed. So it's my building was shaking. Bangladesh Time : 12:50AM at 27th July 2008.

Here goes few references that my other friends noticed it and shared in Twitter.


Then i saw the Google News update which was redirecting to the BDnews24 news update of earthquake held in Dhaka at night.

Shamudra Gupta Aid Photography Exhibition 2008

“Shamudra Gupta” is a famous poet, writer and activist in Bangladesh. He is now fighting with Life & Death in hospital suffering from cancer. All the artists and other groups are trying to raise fund for his treatment. Students of Institute of Fine Arts of Dhaka University requested Bangladeshi Photographers to help them. They will arrange an exhibition to sell art work, photography etc. We have decided to donate our best photography work, an exhibition will be held at Chobir Hatt (opposite to Charukala, Shahbagh, Dhaka) from 29th May at Charukala Corridor, Institute of Fine Arts, Dhaka University.

I myself contributed this photo of mine into "Shamudra Gupta Aid Photography Exhibition 2008"
