1st Sunday of any August is the Friendship Day!

Advance wishes for upcomming Happy Friendship day to everyone as next Sunday is my Holiday.

Most of the time I see people are confused about the actualy date of Friendship Day. The actual date of Friendship Day is defined in 1st Sunday of August in any Year. So as the 6th August in 2006 is the 1st Sunday, so the Friendship Day will be in 6th August. As in 2007 the 1st Sunday of August will be in 5th August. So the Friendship Day will be in 5th August of 2007. We already celebrated in last 7th August in 2005 and 8th August in 2004.

International Friendship Day is celebrated annually, on the first Sunday of August, in several countries. It was initially declared a holiday in honour of friends in the United States by the U.S. Congress in 1935.

Día del Amigo (Spanish, Friend's Day) is a celebration of friendship, held annually on July 20, mainly in Argentina, Uruguay and in other countries, mostly in Latin America.

Can you imagine? Even UNICEF is in this same misunderstanding. See download their document in PDF. I see as the document was published in 2005 so the misunderstanding was not resolved.
